So Dak: Day 3

Friday was another great day in South Dakota. Here we drove by Crazy Horse. It's not complete yet, but it looks cool. Here is maybe a good time to explain the fact that we all agreed not to go see Mt. Rushmore since we've all seen it and most recently Ashly saw it last summer on her mission trip. I thought some might think it odd that we go on a trip to the Black Hills and don't actually see Mt. Rushmore, but then again, we're not exactly normal!!!

Here we are at Reptile Gardens and we are all touching and feeling a little crock. Cute isn't he?

He was tickling Christopher!

Both Ashly and I weren't real fond of the touching!

There was a huge sandbox to play in.

Turtle

Snake show

He's wrestling a gator, it's just that the fence cut off the gator so it's hard to see it on the picture.

We ate lunch at this neat old fashioned restaurant in an old "ghost town."

This is Christopher's special moment...he is picking out a new ball!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This was so cute, I came out of a store and found both my boys reading on the sidewalk.

Ashly is enjoying her ice cream cone.

Christopher is enjoying a chocolate chip cookie that dad bought him.

It was so cute as you could imagine. I think he gets his sweet tooth from me!

The last thing we did was drive through bear country. It was so much fun! I think the fun part was the company I had in the car. For example....

When we drove by the wolf section, we came upon this wolf, right? Chadd sees it and says, "Well, that's just a dog, let's keep going." I told him I was pretty sure that was the wolf! Of course, keep in mind that Chadd is blonde!!!

Christopher would point and shake his head up and down when he saw the animals. He really enjoyed it!

He's also like his father in that he likes to be behind the wheel!!
