Napping

This is how Christopher fell asleep this morning. I still put him in the jumper when I take a shower because then he is right there in the doorway and I can talk to him. He is almost too big, but still loves to bounce. He didn't want to get out when I was done so I left him in there as I did a few things, and then I noticed it was real quiet and this is how I found him! This is precious to me because we don't have those moments where he just falls asleep like so many babies do. Christopher has always fought his naps so this is a nice surprise!

Still practicing to play the "spoons" in the band when he gets older!

Conferences

We had Ashly's school conferences today. She's doing great in school. All As and Bs this quarter again. I'm very proud of her. We just meet with her homeroom teacher who is her Spanish teacher. If you need to see a teacher you can, but I never have, so I don't even know any of her teachers...but if there would be a problem, I'd get to know them!!! I'm taking Ashly and a friend to the MOA to go on rides on Saturday. That is her "friends" birthday party!

Playing with new toys

Playing with some more of his new toys he got for his birthday. Megablock Legos!

Trying to figure out how to "pull" a wagon, instead of "push" it.

Holy Breasts!!!

Chadd comes home, excited as ever. He hit the motherload of breasts sale!!! Let me just start by saying that meat makes Chadd happy (in a weird freaky sort of way)! So...he comes home with a big grin on his face and this is what I come up the stairs to (I was downstairs when he came home).

This is our kitchen table, not an isle in the grocery store. So, Chadd went to Rainbow and they were advertising chicken breasts for $1.99/pound, but when he went to get some, they were tagged as $.99/pound, no limit. So he and the "harley guy" next to him loaded their carts. Chadd thinks someone made a mistake when they entered numbers on the sticker, but he asked and he only had to pay what they were marked! Does anyone know any good chicken recipes???? Ha!

Oh...and he came home with this pickle, it's the size of what a cucumber would be on this cutting board. The pickle was disappointing and didn't taste real good though.

But of course, C man thought it was good. Does that really surprise any of us?!

Yum...yum :)
P.S. Do you think Chadd needs meat or pickle therapy?????

Playing around

Dancing in the kitchen, probably to "the itsy, bitsy spider" or "row, row, row your boat"

Playing with elmo phone, "la, la, la, la...la, la, la, la...elmo's world...elmo's world" (don't pretend you don't know that song!)
Christopher is getting teeth number 7 and 8 on the bottom. Yeah...now I have a whole other mouth to take to the dentist in the coming years...I'm so excited about that, can't you tell?!
I just love when I pick Christopher up from daycare and they tell me he had a good day. Almost everytime I pick him up they say that and it just makes me so happy! (random thought, I know)
Ashly said the newspaper came and took her picture, so watch for her in the Forest Lake paper about her award!

shoe therapy

Yep...it truly exists. I had an upsetting day at work today (I won't elaborate about work on my blog) then I had to go to the dentist, and it's never a good thing when the doctor is in the middle of filling a cavity and says "oh no!" Apparently the cavity was way deeper than he expected??? Good, now he can charge me more...oh, and he did, but he fixed it. So, incidently I found myself wondering around the HarMar Mall after all that to get my book for book club that I now have one week to read and I didn't mean to, but I just walked into a shoe store...and there you have it folks...shoe therapy. Unfortunately, it doesn't make me feel as good as I'd hoped :( Thanks to my wonderful husband for talking and listening to me. Life is such...

Bowling

I think the pictures will speak for themselves, but we had a wonderful birthday weekend!!! It was so much fun that my parents came to stay the weekend and that Chadd's family could join us for the birthday festivities on Saturday evening.

Fun new basketball hoop from Grandma and Grandpa Symons

Bathtime fun with Grandma Symons

My cute little duckie!

Ashly bought material with some of her birthday money and made herself a blanket.

Christopher's new wheels from Nana and Papa Larson!

Oh...and spoons from Grandma and Grandpa Symons, a V-day gift! Chadd threw them in the sink to get washed and I said what are you doing??? Those go in the toy box, not the kitchen!

I wanted birthday hats, but since I didn't go to a party city, I had to settle on the only choice Forest Lake Walmart had...sponge bob!

Grandma Symons and C man

Ohhhh...what a cute family!

Bowling at Stars and Strikes. Anyone remember who won???? Oh, it was ME!!!

Professional bowler, that's me. This is my third time bowling since I met Chadd!

These are some balls Christopher won't be able to throw! He does love to play ball at home though.

Birthday boy fell asleep in Nana arms at the bowling alley. He stayed up until 11pm to eat his birthday cake.

The kids bowling.

Nate playing games in the arcade.

Val, Emily and Nick in the arcade.

The birthday girl and Jackie playing.

This is the grandparents table! It appeared they enjoyed the entertainment at the bowling alley.

Happy Birthday Ashly and Christopher!

It was worth it to get the hats!

The kids table. We had tacos!

The adult table. I don't think we could fit anyone else in our house.

Opening gifts. Thanks everyone for the wonderful gifts. And thanks for the gifts from Fargo people too!

Daddy and daddy jr. Chadd made sure to read all the cards out loud, they went something like this "blah, blah, blah!"

Big boy's birthday cake Nana Larson made. Thanks!!!

Ashly's angel food cake I made.

Here it is...the famous birthday cake moment. He didn't make a mess, he just ate the cake and loved it! Then again, there hasn't been a food he hasn't like yet!

More birthday fun

More birthday fun with the birthday girl :)

Ashly opening gifts in her M&M shirt a friend gave her.
