Jen's Parties

Grandma

Grandpa

Auntie Bobbi

Cousins Jordyn and Brittany, and friend Maddy

Uncle Steve and Auntie Libby (Christopher is smiling so big his cheeks are gonna burst!)

We had a fun trip to Fargo. It was busy. We got there just in time on Saturday to set up Jennie's Bridal Shower. We had a great time. It was a really nice shower. Then we went out to eat dinner for Libby's birthday. Then it was off in the party bus for Jen's Bachelorette Party. It was a wild, good time. Ironically, I didn't get any pictures of Jen to put on the blog. Wonder how that happened? Oh well, I plan on taking lots of pictures at the wedding in two weeks. Can't wait!!!

Standing

Christopher loves to stand hanging on the edge of the couch! It appears that Christopher is feeling better from his ear infection. He is on antibiotics for 10 days. I gave him motrin to sleep on Friday through Monday night. So, I thought I better stop drugging my kid. I did not give him anything last night. He woke up at 300am. Wouldn't go back to sleep with the nuk, gave him a bottle, then he went back to sleep. Not too bad of a night. Wish us luck tonight. I just looooove when he sleeps through the night! I never thought sleep would mean so much to me.
Still waiting to hear the fate of my car. The estimate is at $7000 and up right now. The shop said they would total it, but State Farm has to make the decision. That is the insurance we are dealing with since the accident was the other guy's fault, that is his insurance. I got my rental car which is a toyota camry, but the alignment is so bad. It pulls to the left so bad that Chadd asked them for a new car. Hopefully they will have another available for us tomorrow.

Apples

We went to the Sunrise River Apple Orchard today. It's only about 5 miles away. I love the Sweet Sixteen apples, we got two bags. Two years ago we went to Aamodt's apple orchards and picked these apples and when we got home we thought, "What are we gonna do with all these apple?" Because I wasn't going to bake anything. We ate them all! We plan to eat them all again. Yummy!
There were some fun toys for Christopher to play on, as you can see. He had fun with sister. Chadd even made a friend!

Poor Christopher, Poor Car

Good afternoon to all. Today's entry comes to you from a guest blogger as the usual blogger is trying hard to get some sleep after the last two sleepless nights.

It has been an interesting week in the Larson household. As you can see in the picture above, Christopher is sound asleep right now, but the rest of the story is that he has been up the past two nights filling buckets with his tears. We have found that one of the frustrating parts of having an infant is their inability to communicate with us when something is wrong. Hence the guessing game began on Wednesday night. After no improvement on Thursday night, Kathy was ready for a doctor's appt on Friday, which she was able to get. The poor little guy has an ear infection. Glad the doc was able to tell us what was wrong. So, we have meds now and hopefully things will get better over the weekend. So that is Christopher this week.

Kathy had her book club this Wednesday. As you can see by the pictures below, she ran into a little issue on the way there on Wednesday night. She is okay, but the car took quite a licking. The pictures below reflect a 25-30mph collision without hitting the brakes. Ouch!

The car took it pretty well, considering the hard hit. Unfortunately, the cosmetic damage is minor compared to the hidden damage.

What you are looking at below, is frame damage on a uni-body car. Since it was hit on the right rear, the entire rear end is tweaked to the left. One of the rear doors is jammed shut; not a good sign.

Initial report from the body shop revealed that the damage was significant. At least the other party had insurance. (can't assume that these days). Because of the structural damage, there is a chance the repair costs could be significant enough to rule it as a total loss. Ironically, the car still drives fine. I'm just glad Kathy is fine and also glad the c-man was not with her when the accident occurred.
Ashly is off at an overnight church retreat tonight and will return on Saturday afternoon. School is going well and the biggest change is the spanish-class influence. Our home calendar is now in Spanish. It's just a matter of time before she will speak to us in Spanish and we won't have a clue what she is saying.
I just worked all week; nothing exciting.

Ewwww...turkey!

I fed Christopher some gerber pureed turkey and he made some "yucky" faces. So I grabbed the camera, but as soon as he saw the camera, he smiled! Hence this beautiful picture. He recognizes the camera now and smiles for it...wow, is that normal at 7 months!

Playmate

Christopher got to play with his little buddy the other night when I had my coworkers over for book club. His name is Ray and he is two weeks younger than Christopher. This is the little guy that we co-showered with at work. (We had a baby shower together!). They looked at each other and smiled a little at first, but for the most part, they weren't aware of each other's presence the rest of the night. He shared his toys nicely!

Going for a walk

We are heading out for a walk. We go on a walk/stroller ride almost everyday! I'm going to miss it so much this winter. Chadd and I decided it won't work real well to take the stroller on the treadmill!

Just hanging out

We are just chillaxin' today! Chadd is cleaning off his ATV and Christopher is in his exersaucer outside. It's beautiful out! Ashly just took off to puppet practice at the church. Nice weekend.
