Only in Vegas baby....cup holders in the bathroom!
This is downtown on Freemont Street. There was a live band playing 80s songs. What a blast!
OK...so out on Freemont Street you get a lot of stragglers trying to make a buck. We saw PeeWee Herman, Brett Michaels, Spider Man, Captain Hook, Elmo...then you got this guy....he playing a guitar and blowing a whistle...wth?????? Needless to say he gave me a good laugh so I gave him $2.
One more story...I now know what it's like to get the last burrito at Chipotle. Does anyone reading this like Chipotle??? It's one of the best foods in the world. And I have (not so proudly) been able to pound down the WHOLE burrito many, many times! So we got our taxi cab ride back from downtown Freemont Street on Saturday night. We knew we wanted a burrito from Chipotle so we headed there, our last stop before we go to bed. If I had to guess it was 1:30am. We get in line and the Chipotle worker comes to the back of the line and says they are closed, no more. We just couldn't comprehend that. There was Giant Panda next row over, so I said to Chadd, "Do you want to get Giant Panda Express, I'm ok with that." Chadd says, "No let's just stay in line and pretend we didn't hear him." So we just stood real close to the people in front of us. "He won't know." Well, eventually, he came back and said, "No more, Chipotle is closed." Now if I am remember correctly, I think this is the point where we started begging?! Really, really begging. So the guy told us that we can stay and get the last burrito if we agreed to cut the line off so if anyone gets in line we have to tell them Chipotle is closed. We agreed, but we didn't actually do our part. Remember 1:30am in Vegas = every single person is drunk! The group in front of us were so happy we got that job 'cause that's what they were supposed to be doing, but didn't want to do it! We get to the head of the line and get our burritos and the worker has to tell the people behind us that the can't get any. They weren't very happy. The guy behind us even tried the tactic that he let some people ahead of him because he didn't know. I shook the workers hand and we bonded as I was leaving and thanked him profusely for letting us "in." If I had one suggestion...if you own a Chipotle on the Vegas Strip - DON'T RUN OUT OF RICE AT 1:30AM!!! The party is still going strong at that time!
