4th anniversary

Chadd and I celebrated our 4th wedding anniversary which is this Thursday, September 30th, this past weekend. We had a great getaway. Thanks to Cindy, Mike, Sharon and everyone for having Ashly and Christopher!

We started out by going to the comedy club at the Mall of America on Friday night. It was a great time. Then on Saturday we went to RedWing and LaCrosse, Wisconsin.

On our way to La Crosse we stopped to eat in Winona. It was my first time in the area.

It happened to be Oktoberfest in La Crosse and that is one wild party! There were soooo many people wondering around downtown. We drove around to see the sight...then we decided to stay away from the wildness of it all and we settled at a small bar called the Nutbush in Onalaska by our hotel. This picture is of Chadd stumbling upon some bachelorette party festivites! Yeah, if you must know, Chadd won the ring toss. Good job Chadd...so proud....so very, very proud....

This is Chadd's new best friend. He was a guy with a monkey on his back. That's normal, right? Every song that came on he says, "I love this song. Did you know I wrote this song?" He was also eating some cheese out of a ziploc bag and shared with Chadd...gross!!!!

This is breakfast on our way home on Sunday at the Golden Frog in the small town of Fountain City, Wisconsin. It was massive. Gonna eat all that, Chadd????

Owl

After bathtime last night I was putting these PJs on Christopher. His new thing is to notice if his clothes have any animals on them. So I said, "Look at all the owls. Owls say hoo, hoo." And he started saying, "hoo, hoo" Then he said "Owl...hoo, hoo." He is learning so many new words!





Also, yesterday, I took the kids to Burger King playland since it was raining out and Christopher kept saying, "Up...up" to climb up the steps to get to the slide. More words!

Swinging

Yesterday it was beautiful outside, until the rain started! Christopher and I went to the park with the neighbor, Bryce. Bryce is 5 months younger than Christopher and have so much fun playing together.

Student Council

Congratulations to Ashly on making it on the student council this year!!! I'm very proud of her. She is off to a great start in 9th grade. She has gotten A's on all her tests so far and has gotten her highest ever score on NWEA math tests! Good job Ashly!

No more highchair

I decided today that I am getting rid of the highchair. It is more work than it's worth anymore and Christopher eats at the table most of the time already. So...bye, bye highchair!!!

Kyle's Birthday Party

We went to Chadd's Aunt Vicki and Uncle Ray's farm in Wheeler, Wisconsin yesterday for Kyle's birthday party. Kyle is Chadd's cousin, Michelle's, son. It was a beautiful day and everyone had so much fun with outdoor activities. There was so much to do. Almost everyone rode bikes and ATVs. The kids played football, rode small motor bikes, played baseball and badminton and ran around having fun. The women ventured on two walks - one up the ATV trail that was a little steep at times and the other walk two miles on the road. It was just a wonderful day! It was fun for me to see where Michelle and Keith grew up. It reminds me of the farm I grew up on North Dakota.

When I went to pick Ashly up from confirmation on Wednesday evening, I got back and Chadd said they just had a photo shoot. Cute boys!!!

Friday Eve

We had a nice family Friday evening. It started out with Chadd grilling some good meat...the picture is of Ashly's request: butter garlic medium steak.
