We've been having so much fun playing outside in the beautiful weather. It's so fun to see Christopher learning how the outside works. He does real well running around on the uneven grass and the sloping driveway.

Early Easter and Birthday
Yesterday we went to Val and Tom's house for an early Easter celebration and to celebrate Val's 40th birthday! Happy Birthday, Val! We had a great day. It was beautiful outside. The kids played outside on the bikes, skateboards and scooters. The women went on a walk with the dog and baby. The rest of the time was spent eating and (for me) on the stairs with Christopher going up and down and up and down.

Updates
Here's a couple fun things Christopher does now: he dances! He sways back and forth to a toy that makes music or real music. He walks backwards, really slow and laughing the whole time, he knows he's doing something funny! He will always twirl around in circles. He still doesn't say any words, but he will say the same sound you do if you say it first and if it's a sound he has in his vocabulary. He will hand you things either when he's done with them (like his cup) or if you tell him to give it to you (like the TV remote he knows he is not supposed to have) of course, he doesn't always do what he is told! He can throw a good temper tantrum. Never too young for that, I guess. If you take something away from him and he wants it, he will kick and scream and bang his head on the ground.
Christopher has a bit of a cough and runny nose again. We always hope it doesn't turn into anything major. Everyone else has managed to stay healthy this spring. We like that!
Ashly is signed up for track. It starts May 29th so we look forward to that!

Cards
Christopher being crabby one night, so I gave him a deck of cards, it occuppied him for 7 minutes. Ahhh, it was worth it!!!
I worked the last four days, including a double shift Saturday so I haven't seen much of my family! Looking forward to a nice relaxing Sunday evening. Ashly went to a Christian music concert with some church friends tonight.

Wis Dells
We went to Wisconsin Dells again this year during Ashly's spring break from school. We stayed at the Great Wolf Lodge which was where we stayed last year. We all agreed it was our favorite. One of the reasons we like it so well is the awesome ride called the "Howlin Tornado" It beats them all! Also, the rooms are close to the waterpark and it has all you need without being too large: wave pool, lazy river, hottubs, pools, mat slides, tube slides, kiddie pools. We got there on Wednesday evening and just as we got to the wave pool one of Ashly's friends was there! That worked out good so that night and Thursday morning Ashly had someone to go on rides with. Also, our neighbors were vacationing at a different waterpark called the Wilderness and wanted to get together for dinner. On Thursday eve we met them at Applebee's and had a nice meal.

There was an area with crafts and other stuff for little kids (although Christopher is still too little for that) and there was this slide. At first Christopher was scared, but then he loved it!
We went to the arcade in the hotel and the bright lights and flashing games were overwhelming for Christopher. He didn't know what to think!

It was a little too much stimulation. He didn't get real excited on the ride.
We can still get away with pushing buttons and watching the flashing lights without actually playing the game yet so going to the arcade with a one year old doesn't cost much!

How many pickles did Christopher eat that day??? Something like 4????
At the Tanger Outlet Mall. Christopher loved the carousel!
He thought all the rides were pretty fun!

Christopher constantly got the remote and the phone. We ended up unplugging the room phone and just let him play with it!
And the fireplace! The only thing we couldn't babyproof and he was always climbing on it. Luckily, we walked away from the whole deal without any blood, tears or stitches! Our bathroom was huge so we put everything in there (bags, garbage, etc) and closed the door so he didn't have much left to get into.
