The first of many calls

Well, the honeymoon is over at daycare. On Wednesday, I got a call at 1030am at work from daycare, they told me Christopher was fussy. I wasn't sure what I was supposed to do about it. So I worried about it all day at work, and when I picked him up, he was fine. He was fine for me yesterday at home. Then same thing today. Apparently he was fussy in the morning. But he is fine here at home. Hmmmm... Well, I'm happy he's not sick or anything, but the only thing we can narrow it down to is possibly that he doesn't like all the other little boys getting too close to him when they are playing. The afternoon daycare gal told me today that he played just fine when he was alone with the toys and all the other boys were still in the high chairs. Then when he was down on the floor and the other boys were too, he started crying. Well, he's going to have to get over that! He has to learn to play with other kids, or we have a long road ahead of us! I thought maybe the room just needs some girls! There are 6 or 7 boys in the infant room right now.
If you click on the last picture and blow it up, you can see Christopher's bottom two teeth!

First day of school picture

FIRST DAY OF SCHOOL!

School is going well for Ashly so far. Just a little math and Spanish homework. I'm hosting my work book club tonight. Chadd is gone with a friend to Wisconsin for a couple days. They are going to ride ATV trails.

The kids

Here's a picture of Christopher in his jumper. I say "bouncy, bouncy, bouncy" then he'll laugh and jump. The other picture is of Ashly and her friend. Christopher tends to be the center of attention...always!

Growing

Christopher is almost 7 months old and he is growing like a weed. It is amazing how fast a baby grows their first year of life. As you can tell by the picture, he no longer fits in his vibrating chair! His legs hang over and I can't buckle the strap!

School starts tomorrow for Ashly. Bus comes at 7am. She is ready to go back. Two reason: "to see my friends and wear my new clothes." Well, learning isn't that important, I guess! That is Ashly for you. She is busy with soccer, and confirmation starts this week with a weekend retreat already on Sept 17/18th.

Chadd's parents are off on a trip of a lifetime right now. They are going to the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, France and the UK. We wish them safe travels and a good time.

Family Matters

As I'm sitting here waiting for my family to come home, I just realized something at 8:00 tonight. I worked today and Chadd, Ashly and Christopher went to the lakehouse to hang out. When I left work today and got home about 3:00 I was so excited to relax, maybe sit in the hottub, take a nap, read. Instead, ever since about 4:00 I have been watching the clock and just craving to hold my baby, hug him, kiss him, and cuddle him. I miss my whole family. I just re-realize how lucky I am to spend so much time at home with Christopher. I also get the benefits of seeing Ashly more too, hearing about her day and her activities. And every moment I get to spend with my wonderful husband is a moment I cherish. What started out as a rocky road for me as I became an adult, has turned into all my dreams come true. I love my family!

Mini Golf

These are actually the last pictures of our vacation...I promise! This is the three of us mini golfing in Longville. Christopher was a spectator, of course. Let's see...oh yes, Chadd won, just like always, but we all had fun! I got a hole in one!

Poor little Christopher has a fever today. He didn't sleep well last night. I hope it's just from teething and not that he is getting sick. I gave him tylenol and he is sleeping now. Ashly started soccer practice this week and that is where she is now.
