New couch, new shoes

This is our newest addition of furniture to our livingroom. Only the best, high end furniture do I purchase for our very classy style of living! (Ha! ha!)

He couldn't decide what end he wanted to sit on!

Right side?

Or left side? (That's my left :)

Hmmm...what do I do now that I am sitting?

Gotta go! Can't sit still, gotta keep moving...it's the toddler way!

After some debate (within my head) I decided to go back to my original thought that when kids start walking they should have good shoes. I was going to get his shoes at Stride Rite, that was my plan all along, but then when it was time to buy shoes I got some at Target and thought these will do. Now I regret that and I'm changing my mind (like all women do!) and I'm getting some good support tennis shoes for his little growing feet. So we went to Stride Rite today and look at the spiffy shoes we found on clearance!!!!

Check me out!!!

Kitchen chairs

Now that Christopher has learned how to climb up on the kitchen chairs, he gets into so much more. There is no such thing as putting things "on the table" or "on the counter" to keep it away from him.

He found the goldfish.

And he dumped the whole thing out in a matter of seconds when I was trying to take a picture and put the camera down.

His other new thing he likes to do is shake his head "no" whenever you ask him a question now. It's cute. I was trying to show him how to shake his head "yes" too!
Ashly went to Hinkley overnight with a friend last night. She and her friend babysat her friend's little brother who is three in the hotel, they swam and had a good time while the friend's mom and boyfriend went to the casino! Whatever works!

Ahhhh!

It is so hot today! When I picked Christopher up from daycare today after work, the neighbor had 8 kids (including her 3) running around with two swimming pools and a sprinkler going in the front yard. So we had to join in. It's nice to have kids to play with right next door. I didn't mind getting splashed by the kids just to stay cool!

Ottertail Lake 2010

I met up with Ashly and my family last week at The Lodge Resort on Ottertail Lake by Fergus Falls, MN. Christopher and I got there on Monday after I worked the weekend. Overall the weather was nice and I had a great time seeing my family.

My brother Steve celebrated his birthday.

Sister Bobbi and her boyfriend, Ross and his son Ethan.

Ross's daughter, Maddie, roasting marshmallows.

Uncle Gerry giving the boat ride.

Brother Steve, Ashly and Christopher

I was getting Christopher into a life jacket-like suit and it was quite a project. At first he couldn't move his arms, but it eventually went on and overall it worked ok. It gave me piece of mind that he would possible float a little first if he ended up in the water!!!

Ashly and Christopher playing in the lake.

Mom and me standing in the lake!

I am not responsible for these pictures. I got them off mom's camera!!! This is sister Jen and her husband Blake on the pontoon boat ride.

My brother, Steve and his wife, Libby, on the pontoon.

Dad, Christopher, me and Ashly on the pontoon.

Cman and Grandma playing!

Hanging out.

Oh yeah....raumen noodles oh so good!!! Got to start them young, it's an acquired taste, but a staple food when you are in college or on a budget!!!

The girls went shopping in Ottertail at The Williams Company Store. It's a neat store.

Here we are before shopping.

The "little" girls with the Otter of Ottertail!

The "big" girls with the Otter.

There was this slide in the water where we stayed. Ashly took Christopher down and he LOVED it!!!

She also dropped him and I caught him and he LOVED that too! Only once did I not catch him and he went all the way under. Good thing he had swimming lessons last winter!

Me and my little man swimming!

My favorite niece, Brittany, swimming!

My favorite niece, Jordyn, swimming!

Here we are at the fabulous Zorbaz Pizza Place. I love the pizza there. I don't know why it's so good, it just is and I look forward to the feast!

We walked from our cabin to Zorbaz and Christopher fell asleep. He slept until I was done eating and then he woke up "on the wrong side of the stroller" and had a little "terrible two's" melt down. I wasn't sure how to handle him, more of that to come. I look forward to it :)

Bobbi and I chatting at Zorbaz...anxiously awaiting some pizza!!!

Steve, Lib and Jen at Zorbaz...I think they are drooling!

Fun at the table in cabin number two. We have outgrown our cabin. From a family of six to a family of sixteen when everyone is together so we are now getting two cabins.

The girls spent lots of time in the bathroom, doing their hair and shall we say, gossiping? and talking about boys and other things teenage girls do. Good thing we had to cabins which equals two bathrooms!

Grandma and Cman cuddling :)

A cute picture of Jordyn and Bobbi.

This is the kids doing the minnow races.

Another picture of the minnow races.

Bobbi pushing Christoper on the swing.

Making fry pies!

Cooking the fry pies over the fire.

The kids went tubing behind Uncle Gerry's boat.

This is a spot I spent a lot of time at because Christopher liked to run up and down this cement to the water.

Doing some painting in the cabin.

This is our boat ride on Friday morning before I left to go back home.

That's me.

This is Christopher wearing his Ottertail onesie. Mom bought this for him two years ago, the year I was pregnant. We didn't know at the time yet if he was a boy or a girl...good guess, Mom!!! (it's blue, if you couldn't tell)

Here's a nice picture of the four of us: Bobbi, Me, Jen and Steve. I had a great time catching up with all of you. The week went by so quick. Thanks everyone for a great time.

Lunch before I left on Friday was omelet in a ziplock bag.

I missed the burning of the swimsuit on Friday night, but apparently these pictures proved it happened. Mom just had an old swimsuit that was worn out and it was time to move on!

Looks like it's almost done!
