Carnival and Camping

This weekend was the annual Larson camping weekend at Kamp Dels in the Waterville/Morristown area. We decided to go for the day and leave Ashly there so she could stay overnight. It was raining pretty good for most the afternoon so that always complicates the camping thing. Also, another reason we were happy with our choice of not to stay in a tent in the rain with a one year old that doesn't sleep real good at night! We dropped Ashly off on the bike trail and she biked with the crew to the carnival in town.

We spent most of our time standing under this tarp so we were out of the rain. We enjoyed some fair food and there was enough room for Christopher to run around.

He had a blast!

There was a tractor pull for kids ages 3-11. It was pretty cute. I just put Cman on a tractor for a picture. He was intrigued by the tractors.

Wet Chadd...he ran in the rain to the car to get his jacket and once there realized he left it on the bench by the door in the house!

Even in the rain, I decided it was worth going on one ride. I had been looking forward to having Christopher go on carnival rides for the first time. So we just did one carousel ride. He didn't want to sit on it, but as soon as it started going, he loved it! He was laughing and he didn't want to get off when the ride was over.

Hanging out.

Here we are back at the campground. It stopped raining, but everything was wet and cold.

Here's Rose, Ashly and Jackie in the little tent that Ashly and cousin Jackie slept in on Saturday night. Perfect for two girls!

There are several playground areas at the campground and that is where I spent my time with Christopher. He had a ball!

Nana playing with Christopher. There is also a zoo. I didn't have my camera with at the time, but we saw chicks, llamas, cows, deer, sheep, goats, peacock, bunnies, and more! It was really the first time for Cman seeing animals like that. It will be fun to get him to the zoo this summer.

There are ponies you can ride too. We didn't ride them, just said "hi."
