Rainy days

It was rainy all week so to break it up a little Christopher and I went to the Maplewood Mall on Thursday so he could run around and play in the kids play area. He had a lot of fun just watching the other kids. He wants to be right there and he is not shy to go right up to the other kids and join in. We were gonna go to Ashly's track meet, but it was cancelled due to the rain so we'll have to wait and see if it's rescheduled.

All tuckered out after a day at the mall.

When I dropped Cman off at daycare on Friday morning I took him to the toddler room. The toddler room teacher told him to have breakfast in the infant room since she had quite a few kids in the toddler room. When we took him back to be with the other "babies" he started screaming, I didn't know what was wrong. Then we realized he wanted to go back to the toddler room! He loves it there! So they gave him a cubby and he's moving over! He takes naps on the little cots and he loves following the older kids. I think he will be learning alot from interacting with older kids. He loves to play outside. There are tears when I come to pick him up now when he's having so much fun playing!

I worked this weekend so Ashly was a great help with Cman. It was soooo beautiful outside, here comes summer! Ashly had a friend stay overnight and they watched the movie Zombieland. Then Ashly had to acolyte at church. Another weekend has come and gone!

Da Boys!

Last Monday's work book club was more of a play date for Christoper than a book club. Although there was some discussion about the book, we had more fun watching the boys play with each other. There were three little boys all about the same age and a baby girl. This is a picture of Christopher and my coworker, Jeanette.

This is Megan - 3 months old.

This is Ray - he is two weeks younger than Christopher.

There's the three little men - Christopher, Braden and Ray. Braden is 18 months and he is the owner of all these toys! The boys had so much fun together!

Christopher and Ray playing legos.

When we were leaving, Braden and Christopher started pulling out all the drawers. They had a blast!

More playing with the drawers.

Birthday surprise

We surprised mom with a pedicure, dinner, theatre and hotel swimming! We had lots of fun celebrating mom's 60th birthday in Fargo last weekend.

Here's Chadd and I at the fancy Sarello's restaurant. (It kinda looks like we are about to board a cruise, but we are so not doing that!)

After dinner, we went to Theatre B and saw a good, but rather deep play, about love and complicated relationships. I think we all enjoyed it.

No turning back now, you are 60, Mom!

First Haircut

The first haircut went well. He sat for a few minutes in the car, then he was reaching for me and whining. I held him for the second half, but he really just wanted to get down and run around. There was no screaming or crying though, so I call that a success!

The lady who cut his hair was really nice and she said that little girls usually sit good, but not little boys. She says they usually do rock, paper, scissors and don't want to do the little boys! She was saying it jokingly and she did a great job with him moving!

They gave Christopher a "1st haircut" card and we saved a lock of his hair (for what, I don't know!)

Handsome man...it's my little Chadd.

For some reason I think he should act a little more mature now that he looks older, but that ain't happening!!!
I want to say, "HAPPY BIRTHDAY" to my wonderful father today. I know you said you stopped paying attention to your birthday these days, so I wish you a happy day not just today on your birthday, but EVERYDAY! I love you, Dad!

At the White House. Ashly said if the guard is right outside the door like that the President is inside the House. When I saw the White House the day before, the guard was not there, but when Ashly was there, the guard was there.
