Big boy food

Fun playing with toys. Now Christopher learned how to open the toilet seat and the kitchen cupboards. Had some wet hands and a broken bowl so far. I got some child proof things to put in the cupboard. I think Chadd will try and do that this week. I hope they work well.
Moving on in the food department, Christopher is eating off the daycare menu now! What a big boy. What that means is that they order him a meal, what everyone else is eating and they will cut it up into small bites. Today he ate three chicken nuggets! They say he's a good eater. He also drinks water out of a sippy cup at daycare. Fun! Let's see, did he get his appetite from the Larson or the Symons side of the family???!!!!

Deck the Halls...
We finally gave in and bought an artificial Christmas tree this year. Actually, I think it'll be nice and easy. It was fun picking out our real trees every year, but it was hard to find time and so messy. Needles everywhere. I won't miss that.
Chadd gets to put it together!
Oh...and Christopher is such a big help. Yeah...right....

Sister and brother are busy.

Oh, look, I'm the one actually decorating the tree. Go figure! It was fun though, we listened to Christmas music on the radio while we decorated. We put the tree downstairs this year so I don't go insane keeping Christopher away from it. We will probably be able to put it upstairs next year. We'll have to see how good a listener little guy is by then.

Here comes trouble!

Mr and Mrs Claus, perhaps?!

Ashly put the tree topper on. It's a blinking angel that was my Grandma and Grandpa Ellingson's (mom's parents). I love seeing it every year on top of our tree. I have such great memories of Christmas growing up being at my grandparent's house on Christmas eve and opening presents and staying overnight.

Brrrrr
It's cold outside. I guess winter is really coming. Christopher got a little something. On Wednesday night he had a fever and cough and did not sleep, so I got to go to work on 3 hours of sleep. Chadd and little guy slept in until 7am and he seemed ok so we took him to daycare and he it went ok. No more fever since then, just a little cough. I think he'll shake it off. Yesterday, Chadd and I both took the days off work and went xmas shopping. It was a lot of fun. We were done by 1pm and that was when the mall was just starting to get busy. Ashly helped plan the school dance last night as part of the student council. She sold tickets over her lunch break all week. The dance was slumber party theme and you wore your pajamas. They had a DJ and showed a movie. Then she stayed overnight at a friend's house because we had Chadd's work xmas party last night. Chadd's mom and dad watched Christopher and we went to Buca's in St. Paul. It was a nice party, but we were ready for bed when we got home at 1130 last night!

36

I admit the reason to put these on the blog is to embarass my husband!!! He gave me permission though. This is Chadd, enjoying his birthday celebration from my parents, without my parents. They brought cupcakes (white cupcakes with white frosting as requested), napkins and candles for Chadd's 36th birthday party. Chadd was gone hunting all weekend so when he got back on Monday, my parents were gone, but we had the little celebration! Here's Chadd, making a wish and blowing out his candles!!!
