Annie, the Dryer and Snow

The dryer broke last week and luckily Handy Manny (er...I mean, Chadd) was able to save the day. It turns out the belt was broken and Chadd was able to buy a new one and replace it. Christopher thought it was great fun to "help" dad!

Today we woke up to SNOW!!! And lots of it. We put Christopher's warm jacket on. He didn't quite know what to think of the snow. I don't think he remembers last year. Even though it was snowing heavily and the roads weren't cleared off in the morning, we were lucky enough to sell Chadd's car. Chadd put the car on Craig's List last night and someone called him at 6am this morning and they drove two hours (that's how long it took them from the south metro) this morning to look at the car and they drove away with it! It's an end of an era. Chadd had bought that car just before we met.

I had planned to take Ashly and a friend to the mall today so luckily Chadd was willing to come with and drive this morning. It was the maiden voyage of Zeus (you may asking yourself "who is Zeus?" Good question! Zeus is the Yukon...that's normal, right? Everyone names their cars even if they don't admit it!!!). We saw alot of cars in the ditch. Chadd's favorite thing to say, "That's a weird place for a car to park!" I'm just happy that it's not us. Christopher had fun in the playland at the mall. He's at a bad age right now to shop with and won't sit in the stroller at all. So I just planned on letting him run the show.

Last night I took Ashly and her friend to the play Annie. One of the doctors that I work with was Daddy Warbucks in the play. It was actually really good and the girls enjoyed it too! It was a fun night out for us.

Babysitting

Today I babysat the neighbor kids. Christopher perked up quite a bit and did great playing until it was naptime, then it went downhill fast! The little boy's name is Bryce and he is 5 months younger than Christopher.

The only problem was that both boys always wanted the same toy at the same time! I guess they are just learning how to share!

Survived the Day

Christopher survived the day at daycare, but he's still feeling pretty tough. Hang in there, buddy!!!! (only 5 more months of the cold/flu season...ONLY!!!)

Ashly is going to play Bingo tonight for confirmation class at a nursing home. Fun fun!

No Fun :(

It was bound to happen because last week when I took him to daycare they told me he was the only one that wasn't sick yet. Well, now he is :( He did not have a very good day. We tried going to Walmart and he cried and cried and coughed and coughed, even if I carried him, so we had to leave. Later, it was so beautiful outside, I took him outside and it lasted about 15 minutes and he wanted to go in. He wouldn't take a nap, he cried and cried. I tried to rock him and he rolled all over the liviningroom floor eventually sleeping for about 20 minutes. What an icky day for the little guy. I hope tonight and tomorrow is better. I'm suppose to work and he is supposed to go to daycare...hopefully.

First Second Birthday Party

Yep, that is what I meant on the title. This was Christopher's first friend's birthday party that he was invited to and his little friend, Braden, turned 2! The birthday party was so fun. Christopher had fun with the excitement that goes along with a house full of people, other kids and new toys to play with and I enjoyed sitting on the couch with my friend and coworker and gossiping and talking and before we knew it 3 hours had past!

It Ain't No Minivan!

Here's Chadd's new pride and joy! It's a GMC Yukon XL aka the Larson Bus. It's really nice inside with leather seats, heated seats in the front, bucket seats in the back, DVD player with wireless headphones, it's a 2002 with 75,000 miles. Now Chadd has to decide if he wants to get rid of his car or the Blazer. Big decision!
