More Girl Lake

Playing on the swingset at Girl Lake Resort.

Girl Lake

We took lots of stroller rides/walks around Longville when we were on vacation. Chadd, Ashly and I played Lasso Golf, black jack and bananograms. We had a nice deck on our vacation home and enjoyed hanging out there when it was nice outside. We brought the exersaucer out for Christopher. He just learned how to bounce in it, so he does it and looks at us to make sure we are watching him!

Girl Lake Resort

We stayed at Girl Lake Resort in Longville, MN this past week. This was our second year there.
Last year we stayed in a cabin that was over 100 years old. This year we opted for "fancy" and splurged on a new vacation home. It was so nice. We had a HUGE kitchen, one bedroom, one bathroom and living room upstairs, and a livingroom and two bedrooms and a bathroom downstairs. Plenty of room for the four of us! So we brought all we could fit in the blazer and trailer from home. We brought the swing, exersauser, packnplay, just to name a few things!
Saturday and Sunday it rained. We didn't do too much. We went on the kayaks and paddle boats that the resort owns. On Tuesday we rented the pontoon, but only took one ride. Christopher slept through it which was fine since it was cold out there on the water.

Swing

Chadd came home from work on Monday with a swing for Christopher! He loves it. Ashly's days helping at vacation bible school are going good and she still helps out at daycare once a week. There are seven boys in the infant room currently.
We are getting ready for our vacation to Girl Lake Resort. We will be leaving on Saturday, August 15th for a week. For all you diehard blog followers I need to warn you there will not be any blogging while I'm on vacation. I'll have lots of pictures and stories when I come back.

6 months

I have a sad little boy today. I guess the shots are bothering him. Christopher had his 6 month checkup and shots today. I can't believe how old he is already. He's 19 pounds 0.8 ounces and 27.2 inches long (both 77 percentile). What a big healthy boy! Everything is going well for him, no issues. I have to work on weaning him off the night time feeding. Easier said than done. He can start to try more foods now. We've been working on the Gerber fruits. So far he likes everything!

We got him this cute little giraffe rocker at a garage sale in the neighborhood last weekend. He likes sitting on it because he's so proud he's a big boy! My next purchase for him is going to be a baby swing just like at the park. We will mount it onto the underside of the deck and he can swing all the time. He just loves it!!! I'll have to make sure there are no birds nests under the deck if I'm gonna be hanging out down there. Mr. Owl, do your job!!!

first artwork

Here is Christopher's first art project sent home from daycare! Ashly was helping at the daycare the day they did the "painting" project. Ashly put the stars on and then they let the babies smear around the paint with their little hands. How cute!!! I wasn't quite ready for refrigerator decorations again, but I know there will be many more in the coming years!
