Ashly and Christopher swimming for Nate's birthday party. Fun times! The kids swam and ate some good food at the community center, then we headed over to Nate's house for more birthday fun. The kids had fun playing outside, it was beautiful weather!

Christopher started rubbing his eyes and they were getting red and puffy. First time for this to happen, so I was a concerned mother, of course. Mike offered to run Chadd to the local Walgreens. While there, Chadd asked the pharmacist what is recommended for a one year old. She said "they" don't recommend using benadryl under the age of two. Chadd said ok and thanked her and bought the benadryl anyways!!! I supposed he didn't want to come home empty handed to me!!! Anyways, it seemed the general consensus amongst the women at the party was it was ok to give it to him. Apparently it can cause "excitability" in young children. I gave Christopher some benadryl, his eyes got better, and nothing ever happened!!! (he didn't sleep well last night, but that could just have been a fluke too). So possibly allergic to the dog??? Who knows?

Bus

Christopher is playing with his new school bus. When we were at my parent's house for Easter, my parents had the old school bus from when we were little and he loved pushing it up and down the living room and kitchen. So when I saw this at the store I just had to get him one - the modern version. He likes it alot. Cute!

Easter 2010

We made it to Langdon!!! And this time everyone was together (unlike Christmas). We had a rough start. We left our house at 5am on Saturday morning and a couple hours into the ride Christopher puked all over himself. That was his first time being sick like that too. So I was a little unsure how everything was going to go. We stopped at the Walmart in Fergus Falls to "clean up." Surprisely, by the time we drove through Fargo, Christopher was happy and eating chicken nuggets.

The Easter Bunny Grandma and Grandpa gave Christopher a teddy bear that is microwavable.

Playing the piano. He woke up Blake and Ross...but it was 10:30 so we had permission!

Grandpa sang and rocked Christopher to sleep.

The easter egg hunt: Ashly, Brittany and Jordyn looking for 52 plastic easter eggs we hid in the livingroom and kitchen filled with quarters and candy!

Last weekend we went shopping for our Washington D.C. trip. There are two formal events we have to dress up for. Here is beautiful Ashly modeling her attire! The sweater really hides the pretty dress, but at least she won't get cold!

Playing outside

We've been having so much fun playing outside in the beautiful weather. It's so fun to see Christopher learning how the outside works. He does real well running around on the uneven grass and the sloping driveway.

Christopher is getting a ride with Annika in their wagon. He thought it was pretty cool, his first wagon ride!

It is the sweetest thing ever how Christopher sits down on the steps. He'll walk or run close to the step, then he'll turn around and back up until his legs hit the step then he'll plop down. Too cute!

Early Easter and Birthday

Yesterday we went to Val and Tom's house for an early Easter celebration and to celebrate Val's 40th birthday! Happy Birthday, Val! We had a great day. It was beautiful outside. The kids played outside on the bikes, skateboards and scooters. The women went on a walk with the dog and baby. The rest of the time was spent eating and (for me) on the stairs with Christopher going up and down and up and down.
