We are Thankful

We had such a wonderful Thanksgiving with Chadd's family. We are truly thankful for everything we have and everyone we love. This is the kids eating.

The girls spent the whole afternoon at this table playing cards. The rest of the kids went to the park. It was absolutely gorgeous outside!

The girls were up in the attic to get the xmas decorations down. They tried on Chadd's grandma's clothes.

Hunting

Chadd got his deer! In a last ditch effort, Chadd left the house this morning at 4am in the rain to hunt one last time! Midway through an article on "The Fall of Lenny Dykstra" he looked up and the deer was staring at him 100 yards away...well, you know the rest of the story!

When Chadd got home, he asked Ashly to go out to the truck and grab a bag out of the back for him. She came back in the house screaming!

Christopher thought it was cool to touch the deer. He's got hunting in his blood. He will make a great sidekick for Chadd in 8 years or so.

Happy Thanksgiving 2011

I was so excited that Christopher agreed to wear his Thanksgiving shirt for me today! I wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving and I hope you are surrounded by family and friends. We will be celebrating with Chadd's family. I wish my family a wonderful day as they celebrate in Fargo. Love you all :)

Grandma and Grandpa

We had a great weekend with Grandma and Grandpa. We were so glad you came to visit us. Just wished you didn't bring the snow! Ha! I guess it would have come anyways :)

Daddy is Hunting Deer

Chadd hunting for 5 days:

Day 1

I ask Chris: Do you know where daddy is? He is hunting deer.

Chris: Oh.

Me: He is hunting with Nate and Dave.

Chris: Oh, I really like Nate! (referring to his cousin Nate)

Me: No, daddy is not with your cousin Nate, he is with a Big Nate

Chris: Oh, yeah, daddy is with a Big Nate

Day 2

Me: Do you know where daddy is?

Chris: He's at Walmart.

Me: No, daddy isn't at Walmart, he is hunting deer.

Chris: Yeah, daddy is hunting deer.

Day 3

Me: Do you know where daddy is?

Chris: He's at Walmart.

Me: No, daddy isn't at Walmart, he is hunting deer.

Chris: Yeah, daddy is hunting deer.

Day 4

Me: Do you know where daddy is?

Chris: He's shopping

Me: No, daddy is hunting deer

Chris: Yeah, daddy is hunting deer

Day 5

Me: Do you know where daddy is?

Chris: HE'S HUNTING DEER!!!!

Yeah! He got it!

The End

Building a Tower

Christopher is proud of his tower he built behind him.

This is his "daycare shirt" they made last summer. It's one of his favorites. He always asks to wear his daycare shirt.

Today was a milestone at daycare. He is in the Preschool room and he went potty for the first time! This is just the start of a long journey, but at least it's a start! Yeah!

Snow!

The first snow of the year! It's beautiful and cold! It was fun to see Christopher's reaction to snow...it's been a long time since he saw any. The first thing he did was bend over, scoop some up in his hands...and eat it!!
